Abstract

The FPG Child Development Institute is conducting the statewide evaluation of the More at Four program. The evaluation is designed to provide information that can be used for determining program effectiveness for children (accountability), program improvement (strengths/ weaknesses, suggested areas for technical assistance), and decision-making for future activities and funding. The overall evaluation will address questions about who is being served by the More at Four program, the characteristics and quality of the services provided, the satisfaction of families with the program, the outcomes of children attending these programs, the factors that are associated with better outcomes for children, and the factors that have enhanced or impeded the implementation of More at Four. The current report describes the results from the evaluation of the third year of operation of the North Carolina More at Four Program.
