Abstract

The article presents information on a report which reviews the promising practices that have been recognized for reducing the achievement gaps for the underrepresented minority groups in the United States. An impressive set of recommendations for accomplishing the goal of "reaching the top" for underrepresented minority students has been offered by the National Task Force on Minority High Achievement. The Task Force indicates the limited presence of students in African American, Latino and Native American groups.
